Director & Founder

Lauren is the founder of Idealist Ventures. She provides support services to nonprofit organizations remotely. Recently she worked with a client to fund and dedicate a four-story, state-of-the-art carillon tower in honor of veterans. The tower’s dedication received a commendation from Governor Kemp. For Lauren’s leadership on the project, Georgia Trend (the state’s premier publication for business, politics, and economic development) distinguished her with their 40 Under 40 Award, an honor bestowed upon 40 of the state’s rising stars under age 40.

Lauren is the former advancement director for RiverCenter for the Performing Arts. She consistently reached or exceeded goals to further advance the mission. Her campaigns increased participation, attendance, and community outreach. Lauren’s previous experience includes serving as director of marketing for British Swim School Atlanta, director of sales for the National Infantry Museum, and development manager for the High Museum of Art. Lauren believes all things are possible with a plan, and she shines at finding paths to achievement within budget. She excels at eliminating operational redundancies, streamlining processes to meet tangible goals, and forming unique partnerships. She received her Bachelor of Communications from Buffalo State University. Lauren brings a wide array of knowledge, expertise, and creativity to clients.

Lauren is actively involved with various community and professional organizations. She has served as trustee and chair of the marketing committee for Girls Incorporated; auction chair for Steeplechase at Callaway Gardens; ambassador and alumnus of Leadership Columbus through the Chamber of Commerce; and volunteer for Wreaths Across America. In her free time, Lauren enjoys family outings, genealogy research, traveling, and the arts.
